Three-year-old Srivardhan is the only child. His father, Srinivasulu, works in a hardware store at Nellore. Little Srivardhan developed a severe case of dengue shock and was admitted in an extremely critical condition. In the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, his young life seemed to be diminishing as one organ after another failed and he was hemorrhaging.

Over 15 days, Srivardhan's hold on life was frail but present. The medical teams administered advanced life support, close to 50 units of blood, many sessions of dialysis of his kidneys and artificial nutrition. He was completely comatose and very yellow and when his bone marrow also failed, it almost seemed hopeless. Each day seemed to be his last, and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team debated whether continuing the life support was worth it at all.

The cost of the treatment was very high. Srinivasuli had already tired all his resources. In fact, he was even prepared to sell his kidney to raise more money. At this point, Dr. Suchitra Ranjit started a fundraiser on Ketto to save little Srivardhan's life. People from around the globe and took some of the pressure off of Srinivasulu's head. Almost akin of the effects of a collective vibe of positivity, Srivardhan started getting better. Each failing organ started improving. Despite the setbacks along the way, this toddlers recovery gained force!

If it wasn't for the 144 backers that collectively helped raise 5 lakh for this little one, he might not have made it. Srivardhan has completely recovered now, and he and his family are largely grateful to all the souls that helped raise funds for his medical recovery on Ketto.
