The side effects of radiotherapy include hair loss, irritation at the treatment site, shortness of breath, dry mouth, nausea, sore throat, sexual dysfunction, nausea, vomiting, etc.

Radiotherapy uses external beam radiation to move around the body and target cancer cells. The extent of radiotherapy required depends on the cancer type and severity. The process may last for 15 minutes to an hour and may be given for approximately five days a week. It is a painless procedure; however, the cost of radiotherapy is significantly high.
