Without Rs 20 lakhs, I will lose my only child to a rare & deadly disease.

For the past 10 years, we had been constantly praying for a child. I had to undergo ample treatments to be able to conceive & after all the efforts, I was finally blessed with a beautiful baby girl this year. 

But fate was cruel to us. Months after she was born, she got diagnosed with a life threatening disease- Oesophageal Fistula. 

Today, she lies on the hospital bed, pricked with needles and tubes. The condition she is fighting is extremely rare and fatal- it causes air to pass from the windpipe to the oesophagus and stomach, and stomach acid to pass into the lungs.

What happened?

As soon as I delivered the baby, my husband and I were informed about her defect. Whatever I fed her, was directly harming her lungs. The doctors performed an immediate surgery. 

I was shocked, in pain, unable to understand what happened all of a sudden. 

After my child underwent a surgery to fix a hole in her food pipe, we thought our miseries ended. But, it was just the beginning. 

We took her home after the surgery was done, but days later, I noticed that she was unable to breathe. Without any delay, I rushed to the hospital. 

The doctors made us rush hospital to hospital, performing tests after tests. I could feel my heart sinking. But, I kept running here and there in a hope to save my child. 

Finally, we were informed that our child needs another surgery once she is able to gain weight. 

We were heartbroken.

PRESENT

My daughter’s life is hanging in the balance. My husband has been unable to find employment for the past 6 months. We have no source of income to be able to afford her life-saving treatment worth Rs 20,00,000 ($ 26672.36). 

As a mother, my heart bleeds seeing my little one in so much pain but there's nothing I can do.

From selling the few valuable objects and items of jewellery we owned- we have tried all avenues to raise the said amount, but still, we are nowhere near it. 

Therefore, at this point, I turn to you for help.
