Fundraiser Ended! This fundraiser ended on August 31, 2021
"I am a COVID-19 warrior and so is my entire family. We were tested positive in the month of March 2021 and life has never been the same since then. Being home quarantined and under Doctor's virtual consultations meant taking care of tracking all our oxygen levels, medication, temperatures (physical and mental), food and cleaning.
With one parent having to be admitted made me realise the trauma each family or individual must be going through to survive. We managed the resources, be it the money to pay hospital bills, or get a bed after being waitlisted, but there are so many people who have access to none of this and have lost their lives.
There is feeling of helplessness when all I do is work from home, meditate to keep anxiety and grief in check. But with India struggling to breathe, I want to be able to help people survive and fight this Pandemic.
Its heart wrenching to watch people, relatives, friends and dear ones die due to this horrific virus. I wish to support Magic Bus India Foundation who for the last 20 years has transformed the lives of over one million children and young people living in poverty, taking them from a childhood full of challenges to a life with meaningful livelihoods".
As one of the Top Best NGO’s in India, Magic Bus Foundation is going to help children and their communities in this crisis. Here’s what they will do with the donations they receive:
1) Humanitarian Response: We aim to provide medical support such as life-saving medication, oxygen concentrators, cylinders, etc. with a needs based approach in partnership with government health systems, agencies specialised in providing such support and local organisations.
2) Community Response: Nearly 4,00,000 children and their families in 80 districts need our help right now. Disconnected as they are from schools and some even from any form of online learning, we want to ensure these children remain safe, resilient, informed and on a learning journey.
Our COVID-19 Impact Survey from 2020, showed that 82% of children believed that our life skills sessions had helped them cope with the uncertainties of the pandemic.
So that the children are safe, we aim to reach out to their families with awareness on COVID- 19 prevention, vaccination, and create linkages to government entitlements that ensure food security, and also distribute ration to the most marginalised, where needed.
The time to support your country is Now, Donate to help humanity. Every Donation counts.
