About the campaign:

As we know, all of humanity is in the midst of a crisis with the advent of COVID-19 in the world. This crisis has proved to be more disturbing of all those who lived in the margins and especially those whose livelihood depended on the daily earning basis.

The transgender population is facing this difficulty like never before. The crisis has left them more vulnerable than before as not only that they are in risks of exposure but also are in the verge of starvation as most of them depended on the daily earning system through begging and such. through this fundraiser, we at All Assam Transgender Association would like to offer our good offices for them and for that we need your help.

We are starting a campaign for them so that we could continue with the supplies of basic food at their homes. Please help us to help them.

About the Association:

The All Assam Transgender Association was formed on 25th Dec 2015, recently after the Honourable Supreme court verdict on Transgender.

(NALSA vs U.O.I)/WRIT PETITION (Civil):- 400 of 2012 & WRIT PETITION (Civil):- 604 of 2013.

The Association is incorporated under Indian Trust Act' 1882, and is registered under 12AA & Exempted under 80G of I.T Act'1961.

Why we are raising Funds :-

Most of the Transgender livelihoods are based upon daily earnings through begging. And this incomes & daily survival has been put on hold by this devastating pandemic, leaving the entire community into trouble & starvation. Therefore, we are raising this funds with a view to help the marginalize community, who are one of the most vulnerable in this pandemic.

Moreover, we have already distributed some food materials to the community, but that is not sufficient. So, we need all your supporting hand.

What we will do with the Funds, which we are raising here :-

We will buy the necessary items through this fund raising including Foods, pads, senitizers, and other essentials, and the same will be distributed among the Transgender Community.
