Struggling to breathe, my baby desperately needs treatment! Help

“When Bikash was born 6 months ago, I promised myself I’d do whatever it takes to protect my child. Despite belonging to a farming family, we promised ourselves that we’d do everything to make sure he never had any difficulties.

However, a few weeks ago, when my little baby was diagnosed with pneumonia, we didn’t have the means to get him treated.”

Although I knew it was very common for newborn babies to fall prey to the common cough & cold, Bikash’s condition refused to improve.

For 10 days, he coughed & sneezed, and the mother in me began to panic. I told Sourav that we needed to take Bikash to the doctor since home remedies were ineffective.

We took him to the local clinic wherein the doctor diagnosed my son with pneumonia. I was unable to understand how the disease caught hold of my baby when I took so much care of him. 

We decided to take him to a multispecialty hospital to procure the best possible treatment.

The doctors confirmed that Bikash was suffering from Pneumonia and revealed that he had Severe Respiratory Distress as well, and required treatment in the PICU immediately.

They estimated that we’d require Rs 6 Lakhs ($ 7260.30) to avail our son the treatment he needs to battle these conditions.

“We are mere farmers with a monthly income of Rs 6,000. How could we possibly afford our baby’s life-saving treatment that costs Rs 6 Lakhs ($ 7260.30)? We tried asking for help from friends and family, but everybody refused to step up!”, Sourav grieved.

All I want is for Bikash is to lead a long & healthy life, but I don’t know what to do anymore!

It breaks my heart to see my 6-months-old baby struggling to breathe, I can’t even imagine losing him. Please, help me save my son!
