I’m Ria Pillai and I am a student at Trio World School. I’m raising funds to support Habitat for Humanity India’s COVID-19 Pandemic Response and Rebuilding India: Brick by Brick

About the Initiative:

Amidst the lockdown, the people who are aff­ected the most are the migrant workers, commercial sex workers, daily wage earners, people living with disability, adivasi and other vulnerable communities who have no safety net to fall back on.

Through the Road to Recovery initiative, Habitat for Humanity India launched its COVID-19 Pandemic Response, distributing Hygiene and Family Essentials Kits in Phase I.

Habitat India is also working to support the country’s medical system by converting vacant or clinical care premises into fully equipped isolation facilities known as Habitat Care Centres to provide shelter for suspected or infected cases from vulnerable low-income communities.

In Phase II and III of the Road to Recovery initiative, Habitat India will work towards creating a safety net with financial inclusion for marginalized families in India.

Your support will enable them to serve many more individuals and vulnerable families struggling through the COVID-19 pandemic.
