Fundraiser Ended! This fundraiser ended on June 10, 2021
It all began when we started losing our dear ones in a matter of weeks, in April 2021. We, being privileged enough due to our circumstances, were able to take care of our loved ones. The real hard question was, is the Global community ready to face it?
The harsh answer came out to be “No”. Within our limited capacity, we started our groundwork on 15 April 2021 to figure out a model where we could set up 100 bedded medical facilities equivalent to temporary hospitals. And we succeeded.
First Facility is work-in-progress as it can be seen in the images along with permissions attached. We want the first batch of patients to be ready by 10 May 2021 so that appropriate care could be delivered.
I think we can save lives, real human lives. And probably in thousands over a period of next 9 months. If we can then you can too.
We will be more than happy to share our IP with anyone, if they want to set up such facilities in their cities.
Why do we need your help?
As aforementioned, the primary problem statement is “How to save lives that we are losing NOW?”; And the solution approach is “Brute Force, First Principle Basis”.
The idea is “To create self-sustainable 100-bed units with ICU and Oxygen Support”.
The economics is “We cannot depend on charity for self-sustenance, so we WILL charge the patients but as low as Rs. 7,500 per bed per day without meds+diagnostics charges that may depend on the patient's condition. What we are making sure is patients are not charged above government approved rates.”
What we don’t want is “The setup works and enters in a negative cash flow. It will be a recipe of disaster”
We want to pay the medical staff enough, without over exhausting the working hours. At the same time, we want to make sure that people do not die because of the absence of Oxygen or Life Saving drugs in our facility. We could have done a business out of this, but we choose to save lives, because every life matters.
For the complex compliance reasons and structural bureaucratic optics, we unfortunately had to take this path. We are a group of self-motivated individuals from privileged education and professional backgrounds aiming to solve the problem as global citizens, but one-step at a time, based on our current capacity and network.
Our alma mater, IIT Bombay alumni association’s support has been incredible. The idea is to hack the current global issue to create sustainable units. We have involved superspecialists, latest tech infrastructure and almost everyone in our network who is a subject matter expert for this.
Effort is towards not only a successful fundraiser but to motivate as many as we can, that, If we the nobodies of this world can do it, then definitely a lot of other capable individuals across the world should be able to do this too.
Utilization of Funds
COVID Se Vijay” as it means “Victory from COVID”, is the guiding principle for us. May it mean to learn to live with COVID for some more months. Here, we have decided to not to run away from the difficult questions but to answer them with our collective intelligence. The first such facility is to be opened in Indore, India. We chose this geography because it has become the Healthcare Capital for Central India. And also because of familiarity with relevant networks here.
